← Moser's Worm Problem / Rounds / Round 6
Leaving the fixed mirror-symmetric five-link platform, this round searches simultaneously over four symmetric and four antisymmetric parameters (eight dimensions total) for asymmetric directions and new contact identities. The eight-dimensional search produced no reproducible positive transcendence; 1600 random contact-topology samples together with a multi-scale local stability-box audit support local stability of the Round 5 event root against small chiral perturbations.
Relationship to other packages, stated as far as possible in the document's own words, not my interpretation.
“The common feature of the four single-mode scans is … a cusp or near-cusp forms near zero perturbation; breaking left–right symmetry alone provides no stable positive gain. Hence: mirror symmetry is not an arbitrary aesthetic restriction, but the natural equilibrium point of the congruent minimum across chiral branches.” — from Section 2, “The Four Basic Chiral Modes,” of this package's main document.
